Ismail holds an 'Ālimiyyah (License in Islamic Scholarship) degree from the traditional 12-year program at the University of Al-Qarawiyyin in Fes, Morocco. His studies there included advanced Islamic subjects including Tafsīr (Qur'anic Exegesis). He also holds a Master's in Theology from Emory University, where he graduated at the top of his class. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford.

This course is ongoing. In the first year, starting in early 2024, we will attempt to cover the first half of the Noble Qur'an.
Each class is new and covers a different Surah, allowing students to enroll anytime throughout the year. Each class consists of a lesson, discussion, and Q&A.
